My New Favorite River

Man I could live on this river. I'm talking about the Devils. The desert oasis in South West Texas. Absolutely Spectacular! Even if there weren't fish in this river I would still be in love. Chutes, reed jungles, class III rapids and monster bass. This is just a selection of amazing shots we got.

SXSW & Colorado Bend State Park

Headed down to Austin this past Friday to get in on some South By South West action and then it was off to Colorado Bend State Park on Sunday for the famous white bass run. We had a blast and saw so many good bands. Man I miss Austin. It was my first time to go to CBSP and hopefully not my last.

Fly Tying MADNESS!!!

I got the fly tying bug today and realized what a bad ass fly tying station I have... It all started about 15 years ago when I was about 11 years old. Dog hair, road kill, and backyard bird kills with the BB gun, were the main sources of materials. Even though most of those first flies were garbage and probably absolutely hilarious, it would become a great supplement to my fly fishing obsession.
